We would be over the moon if your RAG Society considered fundraising for Richard House. Don't forget Richard House during the next national RAG week - there are lots of different ways you can get involved!

Why choose us?

  1. We've got lots of ideas - Looking for inspirational ideas or resources to support your own fundraising event? Looking to organise a great event at uni? Then check out our fundraising resources on our Fundraising Ideas Page.
  2. Raise vital money - Whether you and your fellow members want to host a Coffee Morning, get dressed up and dance or explore the great outdoors on a Richard House challenge, we've got just the event for you.
  3. Find everything you need to support young people affected by life-limited illness, and inspire them to help hundred of children across East London. Get help with teaching about life-limited conditions, request a talk, take part in Hospice Week, and even campaign on campus.
  4. It's good to talk - Talking to young people about life-limited conditions and the 'myths' of a Hospice can seem daunting but it's essential that they learn the facts. You can help improve lives by signposting young people you know, as well as your colleagues and friends, to the Richard House website.
  5. It makes you feel good - You could also make a simple donation to Richard House, to change lives of children living with life limited conditions. You can support us at a local level, and help us to provide our vital care services, such as Hospice at Home, building, information services and grants. To make a donation now, click here!

Richard House is a relatively small charity and you know every £1 you raise goes to the hospice.

What you get

When you register to fundraise for Richard House we can support you with:

  • Fundraising materials such as balloons, banners, flags, collection boxes and more
  • A dedicated fundraising contact with over 5 years experience in the sector
  • Access to our student mental health information services and student mental health resources

We want to support you and your fundraising as we reduce the stigma of living with a life-limited condition and ensure that no child feels alone when living with a serious illness. Any questions please drop us an email at [email protected]

Want to hold your own charity fundraiser?

We can support you in holding a fundraising event for RAG Week.

Tell us what your planning!

Remember that all funds raised for charity must be banked through the SU in order to comply with UK Charity Law. This applies all year round, including out-of-term and in RAG Week. This can then be transferred to Richard House.

You can find out more about how to do this, as well as plenty of fundraising ideas and tips, by going to our Fundraising Ideas Page.
