Give Up An Egg and put a smile on a child’s face

Every Spring, we’re overwhelmed by the number of Easter egg donations we receive from local businesses, community groups and generous individuals. This year, we again expect hundreds to be piling up in reception in the build up to the bank holiday!

While we never like to say no to the generosity of our community, we always struggle to cope with the volume of donated eggs, meaning many end up going to waste. Many of our children are unable to eat the chocolate due to their complex dietary needs. Our families would benefit far more from cash donations to fund improvements to the hospice this Easter.

What we really need is financial support. The pandemic has hit us hard, and in order to avoid cutting services for families that need us, we need our community to come together this year. Three quarters of the money we spend on our services must come from voluntary donations from our community. We need this support now more than ever, so we can continue to be there for over 300 families across the capital.
