Got2Dance

June 2012

Richard House Children's Hospice, in Beckton, East London, is looking for talented dancers to perform on stage in its latest competition - Got2Dance.

Round One:

The dance spectacular is open to any school and the idea is for pupils from years eight and nine to compete against each other in their own school hall in this first round.

Dances from any genre will be permitted and competitors will be charged just £10 each to take part. Practice sessions must be held prior to the event during their performing arts sessions or free school lunchtimes.

Students who are awarded first, second or third place will then be entered into the Richard House interschool final to be held in June 2012.

When: Any day during the last two weeks of May.

Who: Years 8 and 9.

Judges: Schools will provide their own judges for this round.

Remember - Any act, any style gets just one dance and one chance.

The final:

We hope to have 10 schools participating in Round One, allowing 30 dancers to go through into this Richard House Interschool Final.

The final will take place on the last week of June and children will dance in front of representatives from Richard House and a professional dancer.
