Harry's blog

Thursday 17 November:

Hi guys here is my update. Sorry for da long wait - I was not well. But I is back my peeps! I cannot wait for next next week coz da yags (young adults group) are going to France. My mates Ravi and Mo together - there is big chance for trouble and mischief - think inbetweeners lol!
Look out France here we come. All this and more could not be possible without your support, I have never been on holiday with friends, so thank you and please support or continue to support Harrys million. Text ARRY01 £5 to 70070. Thank you. And don't forget to check out my interview with Joe Cole, top footballer and Richard House patron...

Friday 4 November:

This week has been grrreeat - I am just in a really good mood.

We are 19 days closer to the big YAG holiday in the south of France and I’m gonna get my party on.
Today, however, I've been trained by my work mate Cat in corporate fundraising. Look out businesses, I’m coming!

I am a bit sad today because Alex - one of our fundraisers - is leaving. I wish him all da best, it has been great working with him.

This week, I feel there is only one way and that is up.

Peace out peeps.

Friday 28 October:

Sorry it's been a while but I have been a bit under the weather. So here is my update:

Fav programme: Supernatural
Still like South Park

This last week or so has been fantastic - a dragon came to Richard House, Mr Duncan Bannatyne - the man himself. Take a look at the pictures here.

Mr Duncan Bannantyne attended the Richard House Oscar awards along with Miss Commonwealth - our very own Hayley Mac. The Richard House Oscars really does show the true heart of this wonderful place. It is thanks to people like this and you, the Harry's Million supporters, who make this possible.

So remember to give whatever you can to my Harry's Million campaign at
www.facebook.com/harrysmillion or by texting ARRY01 £5 to 70070.

And don't forget to check out my Year One update video on the Facebook page to see how you have made a difference and can continue to make a difference to the lives of the life-limited children and their families at Richard House.

Thanks, I’m out!

Friday 7 October:

Here’s my update. Sorry it's been a while since my last one!

Fav song: Moves Like Jagger - Maroon 5 featuring Christina Aguilera

Still like: Someone like you - Adele

Next week is going to be awesome, the yags (Young Adults Group) are visiting an adults hospice - somewhere I can’t remember where. But with Neil, our transition leader, in charge, it is never dull!

Harry's Million is making great strides in terms of progress, with your help, I will defo make that million. Thanks to the good will and the generosity of all you lovely people. Don't forget to donate - Text ARRY01 £5 to 70070 now!

I have also come up with a few ideas so watch this space.

As part of my job at Richard House, I will be approaching schools and companies very soon - Harry unleashed watch out lol.

I’m out

Friday 16 September:

Hi all here is my update.

It has been a slow week to be honest. Monday we had our YAG day at St Joseph's Hospice in Hackney.

We had a tour of the place which was huge, there was a quiz and we had an activity called pimp my wheelchair and not forgetting graffiti art. It was great fun, but don’t worry no property was damaged during the mayhem lol.

Yesterday I attended Lawrence Graham's Charity of the Year event. It was very exciting and my chance to introduce the Harry’s Million campaign. I got to mingle with some of our long-standing supporters which was good fun.

There has been a great response from da public to the campaign so far and thanks to this support we are being able to change the life of children.

But don’t forget we are aiming for £1 million so please give wat ya can.

For more info, pics and videos or to donate to Harry's Million, visit http://www.facebook.com/harrysmillion or Text ARRY01 £5 to 70070

Thanks I’m out .

Thursday 8 September:

Here is my update.

Sorry for the lateness. Not been very well but I am back now, was feeling a bit rough.

So what’s new…. Our Eid celebration is taking place this weekend at Richard House, so to all - happy Eid.

Me and Neil (our Transition team leader) have finished our jailbreak, couldn’t get any flights but we decided to walk 20 miles! From the tower of London to Leatherhead but stopped at 18 miles at Children’s Trust in Surrey, where we gave loads of toys and sweets. We raised loads of money for Richard House at the same time.

It was a great opportunity to publicise Harry’s Million, with Neil wearing the Giant Harry’s head for the challenge. The reactions from the public were fantastic. Some children loved him, while others were not so sure - ha ha!

I have learnt from my colleagues that to be a good fundraiser, you have to go above and beyond to be as good as these guys and I am proud - I am getting there.

We raised roughly £450 which will fund one night of respite for a child at Richard House.

I just want to say a big thank you to the kind people of Surrey, you know who ya are.

Also a big thanks to all who sponsored us.

For more info, pics and videos or to donate to Harry's Million, visit http://www.facebook.com/harrysmillion or Text ARRY01 £5 to 70070

Laters.

Friday 26 August:

Hi everyone, this is my update.

This week I am very excited because as you may have seen, my friend Simon Cowell sent me a video message to share with you all. Visit www.facebook.com/harrysmillion to watch it.

And as Simon says, whatever you can donate will make a real difference to my campaign to help provide vital care for life-limited children at Richard House. We can't help them without you...

Please text ARRY01 £5 (or whatever you would like to donate e.g. £3) to 70070. Thank you.

I am also very excited because this Saturday is our jailbreak event at the Tower of London that me and one of our very own nurses, Neil, will be competing in. The object of the game is to break out and get as far as poss in 24hrs.

Unfortunately I could not get any flights “not naming but thanks B.A. three methods of requests and still three big no’s”

But being as stubborn as I am will be trying to help some children in or around London.

We will be videoing the progress in the event. I will still however try and visit the orphanage in Africa another day.

Wish me luck peace out.

Friday 19 August:

Hi everyone, this is my update.

The Inbetweeners movie is finally here full of comedy madness and cringe-worthy moments. I will be defo be down to see that as soon as I can get the people at Richard House organised to go with me. I wonder who is the Jay, Neil, Will and Simon of the office....leave that with me and I'll come back to you next week on what I think up.

Great!!!

I am still hopeful that I will reach my goal of getting the much-needed funds for the children of Richard house, with the help of my Harry’s Million campaign.

Last Saturday was the celebration of rakhi (brother and sister day) so to all my fellow people a late Happy Rakhi. May you treasure the sisters you have and the sisters you find in life. Because you don’t realise how special they are until they’re gone.

I am out. Peace.

Stats: tired.

Thursday 11 August:

Hi everyone, it's my update.

Fav song: Eminem - Lighters ft. Bruno Mars & Royce Da 5'9

Still like Wretch 32 Unorthodox (feat Example)

My thoughts for this week:
Well there has been some craziness going on in London. 110 people have been arrested for rioting and looting. I feel so sorry for the people who have made lives for themselves and lost it all in one night.

On a brighter note, it has been a month of birthdays, so a big happy birthday to all this month.

I am very excited to say that this week I will be working with our corporate fundraising team. This will be a great experience, so a huge thanks to Richard House again. It is thanks to them I get opportunities like this.

Don't forget to donate - we need £1 million over within three years and have not yet reached £50,000.

Text ARRY01 £5 to 70070 to donate now.

Stats: Happy, hopeful and very tired.

Thursday 4 August:

Hi everyone it’s my update.

Fav song: Wretch 32 Unorthodox (feat. Example)

Still like: Nickelback someday

My thoughts for this week:
I just had the YAG (Young Adults Group) day this Monday. We went to our local fire station - don’t worry no equipment of ours caught fire lol!
We all got Neil (the YAG team leader) with the fire hose, it had to be done!!
Lucky for him the weather was hot, well funny. I got to try some of the gear on, check my pics on this blog coming soon.

You can see a couple of pics from my recent scuba dive on www.facebook.com/harrysmillion - it was great fun. I can’t wait for the next session.

Without the support from you, the public, none of this would be possible. There would be no Richard House and no Harry’s Million campaign to help change lives or do extraordinary things for these life-limited children and their families, so a big thanks from me and remember to keep giving, coz without you there is no Harry’s Million.

Text ARRY01 £5 to 70070 or donate online at the top of this page. Or you can even send me a cheque!

Stats: mood is optimistic, hopeful and but tired.

Friday 29 July:

Hi everyone here's my update.

Fav song: Give Me Everything (feat. Ne-Yo, Afrojack & Nayer)Pitbull

My thoughts for this week:
Scuba diving training was a blast what a great experience. Will put some pics up when they are ready. Thanks to Richard House that's another thing to cross off my wish list.

None of these activities would be possible without Richard House. However they can only keep happening with your help. Please donate to Harry's Million.

Text ARRY01 £5 to 70070 now.

Watched Captain America - a classic movie that teaches you never to run and just face whatever life has to throw at you and some great things can happen.

Stats: Fighting fit but need a hip replacement lol.

Thursday 21 July:

Hi everyone it’s my update.

Fav program - The Pranker on BBC Three and I still Like Angry Boys on BBC Three.

My thoughts for this week:
Tomorrow it is one of my YAGs (Young Adults Group) mates birthday so a big shout to my boy Ravi for his 22nd.

Today we will be going scuba diving training as one of the new YAGs projects. I can’t wait - if we do well in the three session training we will be diving in an aquarium.

With all the awesome things going it still makes me think how lucky we still are to still have Richard House.

You can help keep it that way by donating to Harry's Million.

Text ARRY01 £5 to 70070 now.

Stats: mood is optimistic and hopeful but tired.

Friday 15 July:

What a busy but exciting week it has been.

Fav song - Still Jason Derulo Don't Wanna Go Home what a great club tune

My thoughts this week:

On Monday afternoon the young adults group went on a boat trip. The weather was perfect and great fun was had by all. We went down to the South Bank where we were able to enjoy all sorts of entertainment. I even saw an escapologist which was interesting.

On the same day I also went to St Thomas Hospital where we had an induction to scuba diving. I'm hoping to give scuba diving a go at some point in the near future. It's something I thought I'd never be able to do so I'm very excited that I'm being given the chance.

I was also interviewed this week for the Richard House book that is being put together. The book, which is to be launched in November, includes staff, families, volunteers and anyone else who has played a part in making Richard House what it is today.

I am still working on my Jailbreak challenge which I am undertaking in August. My aim along with my colleague Neil is to get to South Africa so we're currently working on blagging free flights.

Stats: Upbeat looking forward to going for a drink after work.

Friday 08 July:

Welcome to my blog this week. Happy Friday.

Fav song - Jason Derulo Don't Wanna Go Home

My thoughts this week:

I went to the London City Airport open day to help raise awareness of Richard House and my campaign Harry’s Million. It was great fun.

I am preparing for Richard House's Jailbreak event on the 27 August. The challenge involves escaping from the Tower of London and trying to get as far away as possible in 24 hours without spending any money. My aim is to get to Africa with my colleague Neil Williamson. I am trying to blag some free flights at the minute but it's proving quite a task.

YAG is on Monday I am looking forward to that.

Stats: mood is hopeful and I am well tired.

Have a good weekend!

Thursday 30 June:

Hi everyone it’s my update.

Fav song Eminem - Space Bound

My thoughts for this week:

I am proud to have a way I can help change the lives of children here at Richard House through Harry’s Million. To lend a hand and give the same help I got, and still get.

You can help me give to others too. Simply text ARRY01 £5 to 70070. Or donate online now.

Things are getting a bit hard at home. But my friends help me smile.
I feel lucky to have friends I can count on.

I am going to the London City Airport Fun Day this Saturday to help raise awareness of Harry's Million. So come down and see me if you are about!

Stats: mood is under average and I am well tired.

See ya all next week. And check out my goalkeeper game for a chance to win an iPod Shuffle. The record is 12...surely you can beat that?!

Thursday 23 June:

Hi everyone. Sorry for the long wait . I have been a bit ill but I am back with a vengeance lol!

My fav song is Yellowcard - Hang you up

I Still like Example - Changed the Way You Kiss Me

My thoughts for this week:

Last week we had the BBQ at our monthly Young Adults Group get together at Richard House. The box to the BBQ caught fire! It was a real sight seeing Neil, one of our nurses, run round like a headless chicken! But no harm done.

I also interviewed one of my heroes, Ade Adepitan - a well know paralympian and a really nice guy. He truly is an inspiration. You can see my quick fire interview at www.facebook.com/harrysmillion

And finally, it is bloody hard trying to get flights for jailbreak but I am still trying. If you can help me, please let me know!

Stats: mood is average and I am well tired.

You can perk me up by donating to Harry's Million right now! Text ARRY01 £5 to 70070 or use the donate button on this page or at www.facebook.com/harrysmillion

That's it for this week. See ya next time.

Thursday 9 June, 2011:

Hi everyone, it's me, Harry from da Harry's Million campaign. This is my personal blog, open to you. Feel free to ask what u like.

Harry Singh

Fav song this week is Aloe Blacc - I Need A Dollar.

I still like E.T. - Katy Perry ft Kanye West.

My thoughts for this week:

There's a quote in a movie that says "for those who fight life has a taste that the sheltered will never experience."

Which I think is great. It says to me don't waste time thinking about what people think. For people who take a chance there are no regrets and you get so much more in life.

On Monday it is the monthly Young Adults Group at Richard House. We will be havin a BBQ, so lookin forward to that. Just hope it doesn't rain - fingers crossed!

Stats: Happy and optimistic but tired.

That's it for this week, see you again soon.

If you like my blog or my campaign, don't forget to donate. You can Text ARRY01 £5 to 70070 or check the donate tab on my Harry's Million Facebook page.

We also have some great videos on our Youtube channel, starring me, my puppet and Giant friends! And don't forget to give us a tweet @harrysmillion.

Lovely jubbly!
