Harry's Million

Harry Singh is the inspiration behind the Harry's Million campaign at Richard House Children's Hospice, in Newham, East London

Hi my name is Harry Singh and it is my honour to tell you about my challenge.
I am 24 years old and have been using Richard House for nine years. I wanted a chance to give back to the place that just keeps on giving. I now work in the fundraising team.

My fundraising campaign, Harry’s Million, aims to raise £1 million over the next three years.

Why?

Because we are now experiencing a real difficulty in funding our heroes – the nurses and care team at Richard House. It is because of them that I am still here.

At one point, I was in hospital with pneumonia for a month, not getting any better. The doctors were struggling to help me recover. Richard House were short on staff so they could not take me in but on hearing this news four nurses, some of who were going abroad to see their families, volunteered to help look after me and help me recover.

As long as I am here I will continue to fight for this place because that’s what you do for something you find so special.

So if you can help me give the same smile to others and raise the million they deserve this would be the most incredible thing ever.

It does not matter how much you give, whatever you give will make a real difference to the lives of other children and their families.

With your crucial support, we can help transform the lives of other life-limited children and their families, through the free, tailored one-to-one care and support that the dedicated nurses and care team give 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

£1 million. 3 years. 250 life-limited children and their families in desperate need of your help.

Help me raise £1 million to fund my heroes – the nurses and care team at Richard House. It is because of them that I am still here. Transform the lives of life-limited children. For the freedom they deserve.
