envirocharities is a scheme dedicated to helping charities/organizations and their supporters raise money through mobile phone recycling.
For every phone received envirocharities will make a £3.00 donation to Richard House .
The campaign also allows supporters to make money and help the environment by simply visiting the mobile phone recycling website www.richardhouse.envirocharities.com to sell their old phone for cash.
Community Fundraising Manager, Viv Talbot, said “This is a great way to support Richard House and trade in your old mobile for cash at the same time.
"We rely on all kinds of support from members of our local community to raise the funds we need to provide our valuable services.”
The envirocharities recycling campaign is aimed at charities, organisations and any companies wishing to support a charity. envirocharities provides everything free of charge to run a campaign including the creation of a mobile phone recycling website, posters, leaflets and freepost envelopes.
All mobile phones collected through the campaign are either re-used or recycled in an environmentally friendly way and so by recycling your old mobile phone, it not only encourages reuse but helps the environment by reducing landfill.
Suzy Kelsall, operations manager of envirocharities said: “An estimated 15 million phones are upgraded every year and envirocharities provides charities and organisations with an environmentally responsible way to dispose of them and raise cash at the same time.
"It is a clear winner as a fundraising mechanism, because the supporters of the charity/organisation can make money from their old phones, as well as envirocharities providing a £3.00 donation for every phone received.”
