Leigh Evans and Stewart Birnie - winners of Strictly Come Dancing with Richard House 2011
After the amazing success of Strictly Come Dancing with Richard House 2011, London's first children's hospice is now in the process of organising a its second dance extravaganza.
Richard House Children's Hospice, based in Beckton, east London, raised more than £20,000 from the 2011 event as 22 couples took to the dance floor to compete in front of an audience of more than 450 people.
Judges included former GMTV presenter and Richard House patron Fiona Phillips and Nicky Miles, chairman of the Imperial Society for the Teaching of Dance.
Organiser Ben Alonso said there were never any doubts about repeating the event in 2012.
He said: "We had such a great time in October that we knew we had to run 'Strictly' again.
"People just love the idea of competing on stage and we want to give them the opportunity to do that while also raising money for the hospice.
"Once again the competition will be open to all amateurs and they will take part in a range of Latin and Ballroom dances."
