The Richard House sibling group - the Funny Group - meets every month throughout the year.
It provides an opportunity for siblings to express themselves in a safe environment. Group activites also aim to reduce any fears the siblings may have about their situation or the hospice and to give them a break from their normal home life.
The group has now been split into three age groups. These each meet at least three times a year - and there are also all-boy, all-girl and all-sibling activity days.
The 2009 dates are:
- Saturday 31st January - all ages
- Saturday 6th March - 6-12yrs
- March (date TBC) - 12yrs and up (maybe going to a fashion show!)
- Saturday 25th April - Girly Pamper Day
- Saturday 30th May - 6-12yrs
- Saturday 27th June - 12yrs and up
- Saturday 25th July - Girls
- Saturday 15th August - Boys
- Saturday 26th September - 6-12yrs
- Saturday 31st October - all ages (Halloween Party)
- Saturday 28th November - 12yrs and up
